Portcoast's start of Project Management and Construction Supervision for SAPT Container Terminal in Karachi, Pakistan

On 13 March 2014 in Karachi city of Pakistan, Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Chairman cum CEO of Portcoast Consultant Corporation (Portcoast) has inked to the Join Venture Agreement together with Halcrow Pakistan (PVT) Ltd. to officially form the consultancy association for executing Project Management and Construction Supervision for South Asia Pakistan Terminals (SAPT) project in Karachi, Pakistan. Following Vietnam and Cambodia, Pakistan is the third country where Portcoast has been assigned to deliver consultancy services for the projects invested by Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH).

Karachi is located on the Arabian Sea coastline in southeast Pakistan. It is the largest and most populous metropolitan city as well as the main seaport, financial and commercial centre of Pakistan.

South Asia Pakistan Terminals (SAPT), being built by Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) is located at the Keamari Groyne basin on the eastern tip of Karachi harbour. SAPT will have four berths, equipped with 16 STS cranes on a 1,500m quayline with a depth alongside of up to 18m and a yard area of 85 hectares.

By providing consulting services to projects outside the territory of Vietnam and invested by world's leading port operators, Portcoast is step by step realizing our strategy to become an international consultant in port and coastal engineering.
