Cho Gao Canal Upgrading Project

Client/Owner: Waterway Project Management Unit (PMU-W)/ Ministry of Transport.

Location: Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province, Vietnam.

Project characteristics: The Cho Gao Canal is the main waterway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with most provinces in the Mekong Delta. The main goal of the project is to dredge and widen the Canal (to a width of 80m and a length of 28.5 km) and to construct embankments for shore protection.

Total area: The total length is about 28.5 km, consisting of 3 segments:
- The Rach La segment is approximately 10.25 km long, from Km0+000 to Km10+250;
- The Cho Gao segment is about 11.6 km long, from Km10+250 to Km21+850;
- The Rach Ky Hon segment is approximately 6.837 km long, from Km21+850 to Km28+687.
