Introducing the Trimble Mobile Mapping MX50 and Future Collaboration between Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and PORTCOAST

On the afternoon of April 28, 2025, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), Portcoast Consultant Corporation (PORTCOAST) showcased the specialized Trimble Mobile Mapping MX50 surveying device. This cutting-edge solution enables mobile mapping, infrastructure digitization, asset management, and transportation system maintenance. The system delivers high-precision point clouds and sharp real-world imagery, significantly enhancing work efficiency. PORTCOAST is also the first entity in Asia to own this equipment. During the working session, both parties agreed on several directions for future collaboration, including: establishing a Digital Technology Center in Construction; jointly developing BIM standards in alignment with proposals from the Ministry of Construction; and co-implementing a national-level scientific research project assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology. HUCE and PORTCOAST affirmed their commitment to cooperation in research, technology transfer, and training, contributing to accelerating the digital transformation of the construction sector and supplying a highly qualified workforce to meet industry needs.
