A great achievement on Portcoast’s digitalization roadmap. It marks the growth and the recognition of the team and the organization on the international market
On July 10, Portcoast Consultant Corporation officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Autodesk.
Autodesk, a world-leading corporation in design software, has recently expanded into BIM modeling software. For over 30 years, nearly all engineering professionals in Vietnam have used Autodesk software to create design drawings. Therefore, this can be seen as a strong step forward in the digital transformation of Vietnam's construction industry.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Haresh Khoobchandani, Vice President of Sales for Autodesk Asia Pacific and Japan, and Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portcoast.
Many industry experts believe this event marks a significant step forward in applying modern technology to Vietnam's construction industry, particularly Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
At the ceremony, Mr. Haresh Khoobchandani shared that Autodesk is honored to collaborate with Portcoast to promote the digital transformation process in Vietnam's construction industry, as Portcoast is known as one of Vietnam's leading infrastructure technical consultants.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of Portcoast, added that the cooperation between Portcoast and Autodesk not only marks an important step in the application of BIM technology in Vietnam but also opens up many new opportunities and prospects for the construction industry. This is a testament to the vision and commitment of both parties in promoting digital transformation and enhancing the quality of construction projects, contributing to the sustainable development of the industry.
Vietnam is accelerating its digital transformation efforts. Particularly in the construction sector, the application of technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), Scan to BIM, and BIM – GIS not only aligns with global development trends but also helps optimize design, construction, and operation processes, minimize risks, and save costs.
This digital transformation policy has been identified in the Politburo's Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2022; the Government's Resolution No. 148/NQ-CP dated November 11, 2022; and the Prime Minister's Decision No. 258/QD-TTg dated March 17, 2023, on approving the roadmap for the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction activities.
