Preparing new seaport plan Adjusting the existing one

On 16 August 2007 Ministry of Transport (MOT) issued the Decision 2548/QĐ-BGTVT on approving the basic contents of the proposal submitted by VINAMARINE regarding the master plan of Vietnam seaport system developed to 2020 and oriented to 2030. It is considered the next step following the inspection carried out last June by the Government inspection team led by MOT for the implementation of the planning for seaports developed to 2010 and oriented to 2020. And what is the reason for MOT promptly carrying out the study on new seaport plan whilst the existing one is still staying valid for more 3 years? The General Director of Portcoast Consultant Corporation (Portcoast) – the leading consultancy company in field of ports and marine works, who prepared the detail plan of seaport group No.5 (Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Nai – Ba Ria – Vung Tau).
