PORTCOAST AND THE UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES, VIET NAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY HO CHI MINH CITY PROMOTE COOPERATION IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

On September 17, 2026, Portcoast and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, met to discuss potential cooperation in digital transformation and the development of digital spaces. Participants included Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh, Vice President of the University; Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portcoast; Mr. Tran Phuc Minh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portcoast; and representatives from both organizations. Discussions covered technology applications in governance, information resource management, and digital spaces supporting education, research, and community engagement. Digitizing and promoting the University’s cultural and historical heritage emerged as a promising area of cooperation. Both sides agreed to continue discussions and identify priorities to translate these opportunities into concrete cooperation initiatives.

On the morning of September 17, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), held a meeting with Portcoast Consultant Corporation to discuss directions and opportunities for cooperation in the University's digital transformation initiatives.

Attending the meeting on behalf of the University were Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh – Vice Rector; Dr. Bui Thu Hang - Director of the Center for Information, Library and Museum; Dr. Vo Thi Huynh Nhu - Deputy Director of the Center; MA. Vu Nguyen Anh - Deputy Director of the Center; and Dr. Nguyen Vo Hoang Mai - Head of the Administration and Facilities Department. Representing Portcoast were Mr. Tran Tan Phuc – Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Tran Phuc Minh Quang - Vice Chairman.

During the meeting, representatives of both organizations exchanged and shared their orientations, needs, and potential areas of cooperation in the field of digital transformation. The discussions focused on applying technology to enhance management efficiency, optimize the utilization and value of information resources, and gradually develop a digital spatial ecosystem to support the University's education, research, administration, and community engagement activities.

In particular, the two sides also discussed the potential application of digital technologies in digitizing, preserving, showcasing, and promoting the value of cultural and historical heritage resources currently maintained at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is considered one of the most promising areas of cooperation, aligning with the University's strengths in the social sciences and humanities while leveraging Portcoast's technological capabilities and experience in developing digital spatial solutions.

In a spirit of openness, goodwill, and commitment to long-term cooperation, the two sides agreed to continue discussions to identify priority areas and gradually turn potential opportunities into concrete collaborative initiatives in the coming period. The partnership between a university with a long-standing tradition in the social sciences and humanities and a technology-capable enterprise is expected to open up new directions for developing a digital university environment and enhancing the value of heritage through technology.

On this occasion, representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Portcoast exchanged commemorative gifts, marking the beginning of the cooperative relationship between the two organizations.
