Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Portcoast held a cooperation signing ceremony, handed over the digital model, introduced infrastructure digitization technologies, marking a key milestone in their strategic partnership

On September 18, 2024, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and Portcoast Consultant Corporation held a Signing Ceremony for Cooperation and the Handover of the Digital Model of HUCE, as well as Digital Models of the ancient villages: Phu Lang Pottery Village (Que Vo, Bac Ninh), Nom Village (Van Lam, Hung Yen), and Cuu Village (Phu Xuyen, Hanoi).

On September 18, 2024, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and Portcoast Consultant Corporation held a Signing Ceremony for cooperation and handing over of Digital Models of HUCE, and Digital Models of ancient villages: Phu Lang Pottery Village (Que Vo, Bac Ninh), Nom Village (Van Lam, Hung Yen), and Cuu Village (Phu Xuyen, Hanoi).

The event was attended by Mr. Le Van Duong - Director of the Science and Technology Department (Ministry of Transport); Mr. Le Minh Dao - Deputy Director of the Inland Waterways Department (Ministry of Transport); Mr. Tran Xuan Dich - Deputy Director of the Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprise Department (Ministry of Science and Technology); Mr. Le Van Binh - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Phu Xuyen District People's Committee (Hanoi); Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairman of Que Vo Town (Bac Ninh); Mr. Tran Van Tung - Former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Prof. Dr. Trinh Minh Thu - Rector of Thuy Loi University (TLU); Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet - Vice Rector of TLU. On behalf of Portcoast were Mr. Tran Tan Phuc - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO. On behalf of HUCE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung - Rector, along with representatives from various faculties, departments, and offices of the University. The program also welcomed many guests, experts in construction, infrastructure, waterworks, maritime engineering, as well as media and press representatives, highlighting the growing interest in digital transformation and infrastructure digitalization in society.

In his speech at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung - Rector of HUCE, expressed his gratitude to Portcoast and the experts who have accompanied the University. On behalf of HUCE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung committed to continuing the achievements of the cooperation between HUCE and Portcoast, bringing newly transferred content and techniques into teaching and scientific research, gradually improving the training and research quality of the University.

At the event, representatives of Portcoast introduced the latest technologies and techniques in infrastructure digitalization, either owned by the company or licensed in Vietnam, to the attending delegates and guests.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Van Tung - Former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, highly appreciated the technologies of Portcoast in the current digital transformation process. He also expressed his hope for increased cooperation between HUCE and Portcoast. He suggested Portcoast expand its collaboration in areas such as technology transfer to the transport, construction, and agriculture sectors, as well as cooperation in research and technology transfer to other universities to train and equip students with the knowledge and technology to be workforce-ready upon graduation.

For many years, Portcoast and HUCE have cooperated in various fields such as providing scholarships, supporting educational activities, accepting students for internships and employment at Portcoast, and coordinating in training master's students in the field of Water Construction Engineering. Currently, they are working together to incorporate the latest digital technologies into training HUCE engineers. The signing of the cooperation agreement and the handover of Digital Models between Portcoast and HUCE marks an important milestone in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two parties.
