Phuoc An Port, which was surveyed, designed, and supervised during construction by Portcoast, is about to be put into operation
On October 10, the investor of the Phuoc An Port project announced that Phuoc An Port (located in Nhon Trach district) is expected to begin operations by the end of November 2024.
The port consists of 6 container berths and 4 general berths capable of receiving ships of up to 60,000 DWT
Dong Nai Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh and the leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee inspected Phuoc An Port on October 9-10. The Party Secretary commented that Phuoc An Port will be a driving force, creating new value, and positioning Dong Nai as one of the localities capable of receiving intra-Asia ships (under 100,000 tons, operating in Asian countries).
According to the investor's representative, the port is currently developing a logistics center, connecting other hubs, with Dong Nai being a key link. The current construction progress of the port is basically completed, and major global shipping lines are connecting and working with the port to prepare for the first vessel docking.
According to the plan, Phuoc An Port is divided into port zones and logistics service zones. This is the largest seaport in the province, part of Port Group No. 5 - the seaport system of the Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai - Ba Ria - Vung Tau region.
Currently, the remaining facilities serving the operation of Phuoc An Port are being completed.
